We offer a few trips that don't fit in our typical "outdoor box" but have been extremely popular. We are always trying to come up with new and exciting trip, so feel free to send us an email with a great idea for one of our specialty trips!

Skydiving

Certainly you've seen it and thought it would be cool. Well, here is your chance to experience the adrenaline rush of a lifetime!

We'll take you to the Parachute Center near Lodi and set you up with a 13,000ft. tandem jump that will change your perspective on fun forever! Cost of the trip includes transportation to and from Lodi, a First jump certificate, and an amazing experience to share with friends and family.

Surf Camp (2-day)

Ever wonder what it's like to be a surfer? Find out by spending a day at Santa Cruz where the beautiful coastline is ideal for your first surfing lesson. We'll head down Saturday and set up camp at a local campground, then get up the next day and head to our surf lesson. We'll guide you through your first steps in this challenging but rewarding sport.

No experience is necessary; however, participants must be able swimmers. Trip includes transportation, surfing lessons, surfboard and wetsuit rental plus group camping equipment, Sunday's meals, and camping fees.

Wine Tasting

We have carefully picked some of the best wineries for tasting and touring. This day will be a feast for your eyes as well as your palate. Depending on the climate and time of year, we will travel either to the nearby Amador County foothills are or to the world-famous Napa Valley to sample wines from several wineries. A gourmet lunch is included in this trip, so bring your appetite as well as your taste buds.

Moaning Caverns

A one-day spelunking tour into the underworld of Moaning Caverns! Crawl, walk, and scramble through some amazing passages. Most areas are underdeveloped, so there are no lights, stairs, or walkways. Instead, visitors daringly explore by climbing and belly crawling with lighted helmets to show the way. This trip is conducted by experienced, highly trained guides. Gloves, hard hat with light, and coveralls are provided.

Energetic cave explorers can begin this exciting expedition with a 165-foot rope rappel for an extra $12.00. (Fee includes rappel gear)

Horseback Riding

Join us for this exhilarating equestrian trip! We will be riding with Western Trails Riding Service through beautiful Bay Area hills. After crossing the Alameda Creek and heading to high Valley Barn, this trail loops the Hayfield Road to the summit of Cerro Este where we rest before winding through open cattle ranges to Little Yosemite. Bring a lunch and a camera for this adventurous day. No experience necessary!

Paintball

Come on out for an exhilarating day of running through the forest, working with others to capture the flag or eliminate the opposing forces.  Its paintball time!!  This package includes transport to the fields, gun rental , a face mask, all day air, and 500 rounds of paint.  Additional equipment is available at the field for rental or purchase.  This Foresthill field caters to smaller teams and offers the opportunity for speedball, woodsball, and a variety of different scenarios.   All levels of experience welcome.

Wilderness First Aid

This 16-hour class is for those leaders who are looking to gain experience with first aid skills in an outdoor setting, when help is not a quick drive away.

In addition to a half day of outdoor scenario practice of first aid and leadership skills, this class focuses on practicing skills and covers wilderness first aid topics: patient assessment, shock and bleeding, head and spinal injuries, wounds, musculo-skeletal injuries, heat and cold illnesses and much more.

A certification is available upon successful completion of this course and passing a written wilderness exam. There are pre-class reading assignments. Class will be taught by Bobbie Foster of Foster Calm, former Outdoors Unlimited - UCSF First Aid Program Coordinator. She's been teaching wilderness first aid in the Bay Area and Northern California for over 8 years.

Class time is 8:00am - 5:00pm both Saturday and Sunday.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland is a fantastic opportunity to see quality theater in a comfortable small-town environment. The festival goes from February through October, and Peak Adventures is always ready to go with any group of 5 or more. Fee includes transportation from Sacramento, meals and camping fees.
