Freshmen Float Rafting (Class III)
"The Gorge": This classic section of the scenic American River offers beautiful views of the canyon walls with some wet and wild fun. Your trip starts with training on rafting technique and river safety. The beautiful gorge offers class II and III rapids such as Fowler's Rock, Satan's Cesspool and Hospital Bar. A typical day on the gorge is approximately 3 to 4 hours.
Peak Adventures is able to provide transportation from Sac State.
This trip is limited to incoming Sac State Freshmen.
**Transportation can be provided from Sac State upon request.**

Freshmen Trek Backpacking
Our flagship trip- Wilderness Orientation backpacking is three fun-filled days designed to help incoming students develop new friendships, learn outdoor skills, gain leadership qualities and build community awareness. The adventure begins with team building and bonding activities at our Challenge Center and then travel to the Sierra Nevada Mountains for a unique backpacking experience. We provide all food, equipment, and transportation. Don't miss out on this opportunity!

Freshmen Overnight Rafting (Class III)
Experience the entire South Fork of the American River on this two day rafting trip! You'll raft both the lower section, 'The Gorge', with rapids like Fowler's Rock, Satan's Cesspool, and Hospital Bar and the upper section, 'Chile Bar', with rapids like Racehorse Bend, Triple Threat and Trouble Maker! Between trips, you'll camp next to the river beneath the stars at Camp Lotus. We'll meet you at Camp Lotus. Price includes river shuttle transportation, gear, river guides and some meals.

Day Hike with Team Building
Join us for a hike to beautiful University Falls! This is one of the most rewarding day hike destinations in the area! We will hike three miles to this hidden oasis near Placerville, and spend the day playing and lounging near natural water slides which feed the Rubicon River. The pools of cool water offer a refreshing treat on a hot, summer day.

Rock Climbing
Rock Climbing - If you've always wanted to try this exciting sport, but didn't know how to get started; look no further! Designed for the adventurous beginner, this class covers the basics: knot tying, belaying, general equipment use, and basic climbing techniques. Safety is our #1 goal, and this trip is designed with that in mind so everyone has a great time! Price includes all climbing gear, transportation, and expert instruction by the Peak climbing staff. All you need to bring is a lunch, camera (of course!), hiking shoes, and last but not least, your spirit of adventure!
