Women in nature, naturally. There are many different levels in which humans connect with nature; to gain insight and clarity into one such connection, Peak Adventures offers special women's trip. Our women's trips are designed to be intriguing, light-hearted, and most of all, fun!

Prices are listed as Sac State Student/Faculty and Staff/General Public. Please be prepared to show your One Card to qualify for student or staff prices.

Women's Indoor Climbing

This two-hour class covers the basics to rock climbing. You will learn how to get into and out of a harness properly and how to tie a double-figure eight knot. You will also begin your initial training on how to belay other climbers, and have an opportunity to practice your own climbing skills.

This exciting class covers a lot of information in a short amount of time, with hands-on practice & experience. Women's Indoor Climbing takes place at Pipeworks, a local climbing gym in downtown Sacramento. Click HERE for info on Pipeworks.

Women's Beginner Hike

Enjoy this simple and pleasant hike, abundant with wildflowers, in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The Tennessee Valley Trail passes a freshwater lagoon, frequented by water birds, on the way to the Pacific coast. Round trip, the trail is about 4 miles long, with a lengthy lunch break at the beach.

Women's Intermediate Hike

This 4 - 6 mile loop trial, starts on Mount Tamalpais, and circles around the upper part of the mountain. Depending on the weather, this hike provides views of the coast, Sausalito, and both the Golden Gate and Richmond bridges. The trail enters into some shaded areas, and also opens up into completely sun-exposed sections. Join us on this hike, and be reinvigorated with the fresh ocean breezes and sea-air. The fee covers guides and transportation from Sacramento and back.

Women's Advanced Hike

The Dipsea Trail is a 10-mile Round Trip Hike, out and back, with definite elevation gains and drops. Be prepared for hiking uphill as we ascend out of the beautiful Muir Woods, located in Marin County. Hike opens up into a meandering trail with sweeping views of the northern coast. The Dipsea Trail then descends towards the ocean and into Stinson Beach. Depending on our arrival time, we will take a leisurely lunch break on the beach, before our return trip to Muir Woods.
