Try a new way of seeing the outdoors! We have excellent camping trips designed to give you some of the comforts of home. Make sure you bring your camera because there are endless photo opportunities in places like Yosemite National Park and Henry Cowell Redwood State Park.
Prices are listed as Sac State Student/Faculty and Staff/General Public. Please be prepared to show your One Card to qualify for student or staff prices.
Yosemite Valley Camping (3-day)
This is one of our most popular trips! You'll be camping in Yosemite Valley and there are endless opportunities for hiking and sight seeing. Don't forget your camera for this trip! Each day we will depart our campground to explore this beautiful park. We may hike along Vernal Falls or up to Nevada Falls. Price includes transportation, entry fees, group gear, guides, and all meals.

Surf Camp (2-day)
Ever wonder what it's like to be a surfer? Find out by spending a day at Santa Cruz where the beautiful coastline is ideal for your first surfing lesson. We'll head down Saturday and set up camp at a local campground, then get up the next day and head to our surf lesson. We'll guide you through your first steps in this challenging but rewarding sport.
No experience is necessary; however, participants must be able swimmers. Trip includes transportation, surfing lessons, surfboard and wetsuit rental plus group camping equipment, Sunday's meals, and camping fees.

Pomo Canyon Camping (2-day)
Join us on this coastal adventure! Environmental camps, set in a beautiful redwood grove among the ferns, are just a short distance from the parking area. Hiking around the Pomo Canyon area, you pass Douglas fir and California hazel (this native relative of the filbert has velvety oval leaves; its nuts are a favorite of squirrels).
A three mile trail to Shell Beach takes off from the campground, crossing seasonal streams and rising up into the grassland with marvelous views of the river and finally the ocean. The fee for this trip includes transportation, equipment, guides and meals.

Big Basin Camping (2-day)
On this trip we'll be camping in the oldest state park in California, Big Basin Redwoods. The park is approximately 20 miles north of Santa Cruz and its old growth forest is home to redwood trees, woodpeckers, quail, and deer. Several trails have been established in the park allowing us to visit creeks and waterfalls, including Berry Creek Falls, Silver Falls, and Semperviens Falls. There are also great views of the Monterey Bay from atop Mt. McAbee Overlook and Chalk Mountain. Cost includes transportation, guides and group gear, and two dinners.

Union Valley Camping (2-day)
