Frequently Asked Questions

When does camp begin/end?

Drop-off for Junior Explorer camp activities begins each morning at 8:00 am. Camp activities end each day at 4 pm.
Want to pick up your camper at 5 PM? Since we are ending camp an hour earlier this year, we are offering “Base Camp” as an hour-long camp extra from 4 PM – 5 PM, with free play and craft time for the kiddos until 5 PM pickup. This could be useful for those who also have campers in the Explorer camp, who will have the pickup time of 5 PM. This will be an add on for an extra fee at checkout.

Drop-off is between 8:00 am and 8:15 am. Pick-up is between 4:00 pm and 4:15 pm.

Where do I drop off/pick up my child?

Camp drop-off and pick-up are outside Peak Adventures in front of the University UNION Building. We’re located at Sac State; find us here.

What if my child is close to the age range?

Campers must be 8 – 11 years old by the first day of camp. Our activities are tailored specifically to this age range. If your child is older, please check out our other camps.

What does my child need to bring to camp?

Your child must bring his/her sack lunch plus morning and afternoon snacks daily. Campers do not have the opportunity to purchase food on campus. We suggest packing the following items each day:

  • Tennis shoes (no flip-flops or sandals allowed)
  • Lunch & snacks
  • Swimsuit & towel
  • Day pack
  • Refillable Water Bottle
  • Sunscreen & Lip balm
  • Sweatshirt or light jacket
  • Hat or visor & Sunglasses (optional)
