Description of Services

Express Tune-Up

Gets your bicycle ready to ride and looks good too!

We adjust all cables, including your brakes and derailleurs. We also adjust all bearing systems (headset, hubs, bottom bracket). Finally, we clean and wipe down your bike.

Complete Tune-Up

Gets your bicycle tuned, lubed, and ready to ride!  Our staff recommends getting a tune-up every 6 to 8 months or every 1000 miles when riding regularly.

Our complete tune-up is just that. We clean your frame and wipe down your components, adjust all cables, including your brakes and derailleurs, adjust all bearing systems, true your wheels, and lube your chain. After this service, your bike is completely tuned up!

Complete Overhaul

For peace of mind and to get your well-worn bicycle riding like new again.

Disassemble drive train parts, clean derailleurs, crankset, chain, and cassette separately in a parts washer, and overhaul all bearing systems. Inspect and clean frame and fork, check dropout alignment, clean and true wheels, adjust brakes, adjust derailleur cables, and ride!

  • All labor rates exclude the cost of parts.
  • Student & staff rates apply to Sac State students & staff with valid IDs.
  • Miscellaneous repairs are charged at our competitive shop rate. Please bring your bike in for an accurate quote!

The ASI Peak Adventures Bike Affordability Program provides up to $200 bike subsidy to help enrolled Sac State Students purchase a new bike from the ASI Peak Adventures Bike Shop.

Bike Locker Rentals

We offer bike locker rentals for students and staff. Bike lockers are rented on a semester basis. We require a one-time $20.00 refundable key deposit to start your rental.

  • We currently have over 90 bike lockers at 6 locations around campus and 12 at Folsom Hall.
  • Each locker can fit one bicycle. Oversized bikes, recumbents, tandems, and some beach cruisers may not fit.
  • Lockers may only be used to store bicycles. Utilizing the locker to store other items is not permitted and will result in the locker’s loss.

Please visit the Peak Adventures office for more information and locations, and to book your space. Spaces fill up quickly, so we recommend reserving on the first day of the semester. Current semester renters have the advantage of reserving for the next semester.
