Trips & Classes

  • There is a $10 fee for all cancellations and transfers.
  • Limit one transfer per semester.
  • Transfers are not permitted less than 14 days prior to the event.
  • Cancellations made less than two weeks (14 days) prior to the event are not eligible for a refund.
  • Should Peak Adventures cancel a trip or class, we will issue a credit or full refund. Reasons may include severe weather, road conditions, instructor illness, and participant numbers.
  • For Covid-19 related cancelations, please contact Peak Adventures by phone or email prior to the trip.

Summer Camps

  • A minimum non-refundable payment of 50% per child, per camp is required for all registrations.
  • Full payment is due 14 days prior to the first day of camp.
  • Withdrawing campers less than 14 days prior to the first day of camp is non-refundable.
  • Transfers made less than 14 days prior to the first day of camp are not permitted.
  • There is a $10 fee for transfers
  • Late drop-offs (after 8:30am) and early pick-ups (before 4:30pm) will result in a $10 fee per camper per occurrence. Late pick-ups (after 5:30) will result in a $20 fee per camper, per occurrence.
  • Explorer Camp and Summit Camp are off-site making late drop-offs and early pick-ups not possible.
  • There are no make-up days if a camper is absent.
  • Peak Adventures may cancel camps, with a refund, if minimum enrollment is not met.

Challenge Center / Custom Trips

1. Peak Adventures Programs are not confirmed until a signed contract and deposit or a purchase order are received.

2. Total program fee (or the PO) must be received by Peak Adventures no less than one week before the scheduled program date.

3. Program Number Changes

  • Changes in the number of participants must be made two weeks prior to the scheduled event in order to arrange for appropriate staffing.
  • If participant number changes are made in less than two weeks, the client will be held responsible for the original program fee, plus the fees for any additional participants.

4. Program Cancellations

  • Cancellations made three weeks (21 days) prior to the scheduled event are entitled to a refund of all fees paid.
  • Cancellations made between one and three weeks (7 and 20 days) prior to the scheduled event will forfeit the program deposit amount.
  • Cancellations made inside one week of the scheduled event will forfeit the entire program fee.

5. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a program due to safety concerns. Such cancellations will not result in forfeiture of fees.

Bike Shop Merchandise

  • All merchandise MUST be in original packaging and in condition for immediate resale.
  • All returns must be accompanied by the original receipt (no exceptions).
  • No refunds or exchanges after 14 days from original purchase date.
  • No refunds or exchanges on special orders.
  • No refunds on bicycles (no exceptions).
  • Method of refund depends on customer’s original payment type.
Cash totaling under $30.00 Return cash from register as long as $30 or more has been put into the drawer that day. If not, customer will receive a check in the mail.

Bike Locker Rentals

  • All bike locker rentals are final. No refunds available.
  • Bike locker key deposit will be returned in full as long as the key is turned in before the locker expires.
  • Any violations of the contract terms and conditions shall be sufficient grounds for the termination of the rental and the renter must return the key without any formal demand.

Equipment Rentals

  • 48 hours cancellation notice required for refund.
  • Full payment required at time of reservation.
  • Security deposit required at time of pick-up.
  • Renter is solely responsible for the equipment and will be charged full replacement cost for lost, stolen, or badly damaged equipment.
  • Equipment returned late is subject to a late charge of 1.5 times the regular rental fee.
  • Cleaning & damage fees will be charged for any items returned in unsatisfactory condition.

Minimum Age Requirements

Challenge Center

The minimum age is 8 years old for all Challenge Center activities including standard programs, volume programs and open climb events.

Outdoor Trips

The minimum age for all scheduled outdoor trips and classes is 18, with the exception of current Sac State students under 18.

The minimum age is 9 for all scheduled Whitewater Rafting trips.

Private Outdoor Trips

Minimum ages will be determined in the booking process.
