Summit Camp (ages 14 to 17)

Overview
Due to COVID-19, all 2020 ASI Peak Adventures camps are cancelled.

All campers who already registered will receive a full refund. We hope you have a safe summer and we hope to see you next year!

 

This week-long day camp for high school-aged campers is will fulfill your thirst for adventure! Let your camper explore the world of outdoor recreation with the guidance of our camp counselors and guides! Every day is a new adventure! Campers will try their hand at climbing at the Challenge Center, canoeing, outdoor rock climbing, hiking, and whitewater rafting! With drop-off and pick-up at the Sacramento State campus, finding adventure is easy.

Campers will have the opportunity to learn new activities with one-on-one instruction from our dedicated and qualified staff. Your camper will make new friends, life-long memories and boost their adventure confidence!

Tuesday: Flat Water Boating (Canoeing)

Frequently Asked Questions

When does camp begin/end?

Explorer Camp activities begin at 8:00am each day and end at 5:00pm. We are unable to allow early pick-ups because we cannot guarantee when campers will return from their daily off-campus activities. 

Where do I drop off/pick up my child?

Camp drop-off and pick up will be in front of the University Union.

What if my child is close to the age range?

Campers must be 14-17 years old by the first day of camp. If your child does not meet that requirement, please check out our Green & Gold or Explorer camps for other age ranges.

What does my child need to bring to camp?

We suggest packing the following items each day:

  • Lunch
  • No jeans
  • Sunglasses
  • Shorts
  • Sweatshirt
  • Tennis shoes
  • Sunscreen
  • Lip balm
  • Towel
  • Day pack
  • Water bottle 
  • Hat or visor
  • Snacks 
  • T-shirt

You will also need to bring the following items on the following days:

Monday Challenge Center Climbing & Pool Swimming Closed-toe shoes, swimsuit, & towel
Tuesday Kayaking and Canoeing Closed-toe shoes, water shoes (no flip flops), swimsuit, towel, and bug spray(optional)
Wednesday Outdoor Rock Climbing Closed-toe shoes and bug spray(optional)
Thursday Summit Hike Closed-toe shoes and bug spray(optional)
Friday Whitewater Rafting Water shoes (no flip flops), and swimsuit

Additional Information

A minimum deposit of 50% per child, per camp, is required for all registrations (non-refundable). Full payment is due 14 days prior to camp start.

Camps must have a minimum of six campers for the program to run. No guarantees. You will receive a full refund for any canceled camps.
